Solar Schools

Solar for London has assisted a number of schools across London to have both solar water heating systems and solar photovoltaic systems installed. We have worked closely with local council energy officers to carry out site surveys, liaise with installers and manufactures and secure grant funding for the schools.

The school benefits from the installation through having an onsite teaching resource for students to get a first hand insight into how renewable energy systems work. Through onsite metering they can see exactly what energy is being produced and how much CO2 is being offset.
